Application of bending limiter in submarine cable protection

The bending limiter is used for submarine cable bending protection at the lower ports of offshore wind power I pipe and j pipe, and is installed on the buoyancy module outside the marine riser column. Its structure includes semi annular female end, semi annular male end, snap ring, snap groove, auxiliary pipeline channel and riser column channel. The semi annular female end is connected with the semi annular male end through snap ring and snap groove, The snap groove is arranged on the left and right outer sides of the semi-annular female end and is integrated with the semi-annular female end. The snap ring is installed on the semi-annular male end. The snap ring is matched with the snap groove, and the snap ring corresponds to the position of the snap groove.

Technical requirements for bending limiter:

1) Modular bite structure is adopted, and the length can be increased or decreased according to the service environment.

2) The module adopts Harvard structure.

3) The material adopts high-quality and reliable products with excellent deformation resistance, corrosion resistance and high wear resistance.

4) The tensile strength of the material shall not be less than 45MPa.

5) The material density shall not be greater than 1.2 × 103kg / m3, requiring no additional weight to the submarine cable underwater.

6) The bending limit shall be able to withstand 8t lateral pressure.

7) The bending radius of the bending limiter shall meet the requirements of small bending radius of submarine cable.
